Vinny’s fate sealed and major Jimmy twist as Emmerdale spoilers confirm what happens next

The shocks continue – with another big one tomorrow (Picture: ITV / Metro) Vinny Dingle’s (Bradley Johnson) future is looking bleak in Emmerdale after he was arrested and charged for causing the crash which led to the deaths of Jimmy King (Nick Miles) and Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley). The weight of his guilt was too much to handle and, on the day of Dawn’s funeral this week, he decided to come clean, telling grieving Nicola King (Nicola Wheeler) and Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) that he was driving the car which led to the carnage. Nicola was appalled, as was Joe, while Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) punched him. Vinny was taken to hospital after collapsing, with Mandy (Lisa Riley) determined to get the police involved. Vinny, however, refused to incriminate Billy, believing Lucas and Clemmie had lost enough already. Nicola, meanwhile, phoned the police, with Vinny arrested and subsequently charged for his role in the accident. Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches) struggled to get his head around Vinny’s betrayal while Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) was kicked out of Home Farm. Carl Holliday (Charlie Joyce) is told news of Vinny’s involvement alongside Elliot (Luca Hoyle), but a big shock follows as he reveals to Nicola that he plans on making a video for Jimmy’s funeral – using voice notes of his dad that he found on his laptop. Nicola is intrigued to know what voice notes he’s referring to and, panicked, she takes the laptop off him.
