Police have identified 21-year-old Lingamaneni Sanjush, son of Andhra Pradesh Rajya Sabha MP and Jana Sena Party leader Lingamaneni Ramesh, as the accused in the case.A video of the accident’s aftermath, which surfaced days later, shows the chaotic moments after the crash. A woman, believed to be the victim’s colleague, can be seen crying beside the bloodied Bharati Mukhi and pleading for help, while a group of bystanders confronts the driver and prevents him from leaving the spot.The video also shows the driver approaching the injured woman before bystanders put Bharati in the same car and rush her to hospital. She was taken to Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.Bharati, 26, reportedly from Odisha, worked as a sales executive at the Lifestyle store inside Inorbit Mall. According to the police complaint, she and her colleague Pooja Ashok had gone towards the ITC Kohenur area to collect lunch and were returning to the mall when the accident occurred. As Bharati attempted to cross the road in front of the mall, the Aston Martin struck her, leaving her with severe head injuries and heavy bleeding. Police said the vehicle was being driven at high speed and in a rash and negligent manner.She was rushed to Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills in the same vehicle involved in the accident. However, doctors declared her dead on arrival. Based on a complaint by Panjala Ashwin Kumar, manager of the Lifestyle store where Bharati worked, Madhapur Police registered a case under Section 106(1) of the BNS for causing death by a rash or negligent act. The Cyberabad Police have seized the Aston Martin, bearing registration number TG-09-G-0666, as part of the investigation.A senior police official said Sanjush has not been arrested as the offence is bailable. Police have served him a notice and are continuing their investigation.According to the victim’s aunt, Bharati, who worked as a sales executive at the mall, was the sole breadwinner of her family.“My niece had gone for lunch during her lunch break when she was accidentally hit and killed by a speeding vehicle. She was the sole breadwinner of her family, and now there is no one left to support them financially.
