Vance says Trump Kharg post was 'message' to Iran

US Vice President JD Vance has said that President Donald Trump was sending a message to Iran when he posted an AI-generated video that appeared to show the US military blowing up oil facilities on Iran's Kharg Island earlier on Monday. "The president likes to switch it up on social media a little bit," Vance said when asked about Trump's post at a press conference. "He would be the first to say he doesn't make announcements about military actions on social media, but I think that he's sending a message to the Iranians," he added. Earlier on Monday, Hamid Bovard, the chief executive of the National Iranian Oil Company, denied that the US had destroyed oil facilities on Kharg.
