Nearly 20 lakh candidates had registered for the UPTET examination. Candidates who appeared for the examination can check their results using the required examination credentials.According to commission Chairman Dr Prashant Kumar, a total of 19,94,661 candidates registered for UPTET 2026. The examination was conducted on July 2, 3 and 4 across 955 examination centres in 60 districts of Uttar Pradesh.80.07% PASS AT PRIMARY LEVELAt the primary level for Classes 1 to 5, 7,13,648 candidates appeared for the examination. Of these, 5,71,435 candidates, or 80.07%, were declared successful. At the upper primary level for Classes 6 to 8, 10,57,021 candidates appeared. A total of 7,59,513 candidates, representing 71.85%, cleared the examination.The results also include a significant number of working teachers who appeared for the eligibility test. At the primary level, 1,22,405 working teachers appeared for the examination, of whom 93,387 candidates, or 76.29%, were declared successful. At the upper primary level, 1,46,394 working teachers appeared. Of these, 1,13,384 candidates, or 77.45%, cleared the examination.EXAM CONDUCTED IN FIVE SHIFTSGiven the large number of candidates, the UPTET 2026 examination was conducted in five shifts over three days. The Commission said the examination was held in a fair, transparent and secure manner. The examination was organised across 60 districts, with 955 centres established to accommodate the large number of candidates.NORMALISATION PROCESS FOLLOWEDThe commission said the results were prepared after following the normalisation process prescribed under Point 9 of the examination advertisement. The normalisation procedure was applied while preparing the final results, the Commission stated.With the declaration of the UPTET 2026 results, the examination process has reached its conclusion for this year's candidates.
