Ukraine Reports 219 Frontline Clashes as Fighting Intensifies Near Pokrovsk

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) reported 219 combat engagements along the frontline by 10 p.m. local time on Tuesday, Sept. 15, with the most intensive attacks being concentrated on the Pokrovsk axis.According to the daily evening update, covering the previous 24 hours of fighting, Russian forces carried out 68 airstrikes, dropped 249 guided aerial bombs (KABs), used 4,153 loitering munitions and shelled Ukrainian positions and populated areas at least 1,638 times during the day.JOIN US ON TELEGRAMFollow our coverage of the war on the @Kyivpost_official.“A total of 38 attacks were repelled on the Pokrovsk axis,” the General Staff said, describing fighting near 17 settlements, including Dobropillia, Udachne and Molodetske.Heaviest fighting near PokrovskAccording to the AFU, Russian troops attempted to advance near Sofiivka, Pryiut, Kucheriv Yar, Vilne, Nove Shakhove, Stepy, Hannivka, Novyi Donbas, Dobropillia, Bilytske, Vodiane, Krasnopillia, Novofedorivka, Vasylivka, Serhiivka, Udachne, and Molodetske.The preliminary figures indicated that 66 Russian servicemen were killed and five wounded in the sector.Twelve vehicles, one artillery system, five pieces of specialized equipment, a drone control point, two ammunition depots, and 45 Russian shelters were destroyed.Additionally, three vehicles, three artillery systems, one piece of specialized equipment, eight drone-control points, and 101 Russian shelters were damaged.The AFU destroyed or suppressed at least 147 Russian drones of various types.
