Two police officers arrested over allegations made ‘after orgy while on holiday trip with colleagues’

TWO cops have been arrested over allegations made following a ‘wild orgy’ among a group of officers who went on holiday together. The arrests came after a sex session in Budapest involving members of a party of 15 officers from the same Met Police station. The off-duty cops had flown away for a summer break when a boozy night allegedly resulted in a sex party at their large rented house. It led to the arrest of two constables last week for sexual assault, and assault. One male cop was arrested on Monday, and another male officer was nicked on Thursday. Furious top brass have convened a ‘Gold Group’ following the incident – a strategic forum to investigate exactly what happened. A source said: “It shows just how deeply embarrassed the Met are by this. It beggars belief that this could happen. The group of young male and female officers had rented the large house in Budapest via AirBnB earlier this year. Some of the pals, who are all based in the same hub, were already sexually involved with each other prior to the getaway, sources said. But during a wild evening at the holiday location, a number of the officers began having sex, It is understood the complainant female officer was allegedly forcefully removed by her arm from a room by a male officer who took her to his room. There is no suggestion he tried to have sex with her but the woman alleges assault as he grabbed her by the arm. The same woman alleged she was sexually assaulted later by another male officer. An investigation being carried out by the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards is also focusing on the the apparent lack of supervision. One source said: ‘’There were sergeants on the trip and questions are being asked over how they let these scenes go on. ‘’It is one thing to say that what goes on while on tour should stay on tour, but these were apparently wild scenes which have led to criminal complaints. ‘’There seems to have been a complete lack of supervision by the skippers.’’ A Met Police spokesperson said: “Two serving officers have been arrested following an investigation by the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards. “One officer, attached to Central North Command, was arrested on Monday, 31 August on suspicion of assault. “A second officer, attached to the same command, was arrested on Thursday, 3 September on suspicion of sexual assault. “The incidents are reported to have taken place in Budapest. “Both officers were bailed and have been suspended from duty, and enquiries continue into what is a complex investigation. “All allegations of criminality or misconduct by officers are treated with the utmost seriousness.”
