Two Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire in attacks in the occupied West Bank and Gaza. Al Jazeera reports, citing the Palestine Red Crescent Society, that 41-year-old Raafat Khairi Ahmed Abu Khalil was killed by Israeli soldiers at the Anab checkpoint east of Tulkarm in the occupied West Bank. Citing sources at Nasser Medical Complex, the report said that another Palestinian had been killed in Israeli shelling northwest of southern Gaza's Khan Younis. The last month has seen a surge in Israeli attacks across Gaza despite a so-called ceasefire which came into effect in October last year.
