Ravichandra, along with Additional EO Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary and other senior officials, reviewed the preparedness at a meeting held at Annamaiah Bhavan here on Monday. District Collector Venkateswar, Superintendent of Police Subbarayudu, TTD JEOs Sharath and Gopinath and CVSO Murali Krishna participated in the meeting.The EO appreciated the coordinated efforts of various TTD departments, the police and other district agencies in ensuring the successful conduct of the Salakatla Brahmotsavams held from September 15 to 23. He asked officials and staff to maintain the same spirit of teamwork and coordination during the Navaratri Brahmotsavams.In a presentation, the Additional EO explained the arrangements made during the recent Brahmotsavams. From Ankurarpanam on September 14 to the conclusion of the festival on September 23, more than 73,500 devotees were provided darshan of Sri Venkateswara Swamy on an average each day. He said meticulous planning and coordinated efforts had helped the TTD manage the pilgrim rush effectively.The cancellation of VIP break and privilege darshans during the festival also helped streamline darshan and provide a more comfortable experience for ordinary pilgrims. Devotees were able to witness the various vahana sevas without major inconvenience.The TTD is considering a similar strategy for the Navaratri Brahmotsavams, particularly in view of the expected increase in pilgrim footfall during the Dasara holidays. Officials anticipate a 20% rise in the number of devotees during the festival.The meeting reviewed arrangements for Annaprasadam, sanitation, Srivari Sevaks, floral decorations, electrical illumination, medical services, cultural programmes, temple paraphernalia and SVBC telecast. Security arrangements involving TTD Vigilance and the police were also discussed.Officials stressed the need for close coordination among all departments and agencies to manage the anticipated pilgrim rush efficiently and ensure a safe, orderly and comfortable pilgrimage experience throughout the Brahmotsavams.Heads of various TTD departments, police officials and representatives of the APSRTC were also present.
