The post came after The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump had rejected Iran’s proposal, citing unnamed US officials. The report said Trump was sceptical that Tehran would meet his demands and believed a renewed US bombing campaign was likely. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran had presented the United States with a “concrete” seven-day plan and that the decision now rested with Washington. US officials told Al Jazeera that Washington was in no hurry to respond to Iran’s proposal.
