‘Troubled’ Belle’s devastating mistake as Tom’s Emmerdale return looms

Belle got things very wrong (Picture: ITV) Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) made a huge mistake in Emmerdale today as it became clear that her anxiety surrounding Tom King’s (James Chase) return was beginning to impact her job. A couple of weeks ago, Belle learnt that her abusive ex-husband Tom would soon be released from prison. A liaison officer attempted to make Belle feel better by explaining that Tom won’t legally be allowed anywhere near her, but she knew a few rules wouldn’t stop him. As the countdown to Tom’s release continues, Belle is busy distracting herself with work. In today’s episode, she met with husband and wife to be Jordan and Caz. When Belle began to sense that Jordan was being a little controlling towards Caz, she couldn’t help but wonder if she was looking at a victim of domestic abuse. Determined to help, Belle invited Caz over and admitted that she’s concerned about her relationship. In Belle’s eyes, the comments from Caz suggested that she just wasn’t in a position to see the reality of what Jordan was doing to her. But Caz was absolutely adamant that she didn’t need help. Calling her troubled, Caz fired Belle as the wedding planner and left. When Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah) returned, he too wondered if Caz was too scared to admit what was going on, but Belle began to fear that she had just got things very, very wrong. In upcoming episodes, Belle will come face to face with Tom when she learns that he’s been attacked and is in hospital.
