Transformers: New Legends Return Officially Teased

While the entertainment adaptations are still at the forefront, particularly the movies and TV shows, there are just as many out there who prioritize the physical releases above all else. Happily, those fans have also been extremely well served over the years and, aside from Gundam, it's difficult to think of any unique creation that has dropped as many collectibles on their fans as Transformers has. Now an entirely new line is about to debut, and it could be one of the most exciting examples in recent years. As reported by Tformers.com, Transformers New Legends has just been teased once again, giving longtime followers plenty to ponder over ahead of a full reveal. Revealed all the way back in January of this year the new toy line comes from well-known manufacturer Takara TOMY, and the latest image teaser actually reveals a lot more about the potential line than it may first appear. The Transformers New Legends NL-08 Delta Magnus Primal Vanguard features, as well as the Studio Series Ultra Magnus redeco as Delta Magnus. As originally confirmed by the developers of the new release, this latest set is actually a spin-off of the 40th Selection Lio Convoy, with the relative success of that proven to be more than enough for them to try and conceive a toy line that could build up to a brand-new figure of Lio's rival, Galvatron (the more powerful incarnation of Megatron). It also serves as a bit of a spiritual successor to the 2014 to 2019 Transformers Legends toy line, which was heavily focused on the Beast Wars portion of the existing lore. That release also expanded significantly on the story as a whole, so expect this latest set to potentially do the same. The company currently has a staggering seven waves of releases planned for the toy line as it stands, with wave five serving as the arrival point for Galvatron himself on Boxing Day, December 26, 2026. The final two waves release in January and February 2027 respectively, with awesome characters including Autobot Cosmos, and the Delta Magnus Primal Vanguard Set to be included in that. At the same time, the Transformers franchise is far from done in the movies and TV adaptation department, with plenty of projects coming down the pipeline that should excite fans. The headline act is undoubtedly Transformers 8, which will continue the storyline from Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. Very excitingly, there’s also the Transformers and G.I. Joe Crossover that was teased at the end of the last movie. That’s currently in development, though it’s not going to be released until the next mainline movie is out in the wild.
