Fun Fact: he’s been to every single Idol Live! Tour. Sign in to your ScreenRant account Tracker and Marshals are some of the biggest shows on CBS right now, but there's a beloved sitcom that's currently reigning supreme on the streaming charts. These two dramas returned for their fourth and second seasons, respectively, on October 4. The former stars Justin Hartley as survivalist Colter Shaw, who helps the police and civilians with different cases, while the latter series is part of Taylor Sheridan's Yellowstone franchise, with Luke Grimes playing U.S. Marshal Kayce Dutton. Marshals is the top scripted TV show, with the recent premiere drawing in 8.2 million viewers. There are also some older CBS shows that still perform really well for Paramount. One of those is Everybody Loves Raymond, which first premiered in 1996 with comedian Ray Romano playing Ray Barone, a father, husband and sports journalist who constantly angers his wife and is forced to put up with his parents interfering in his life. Patricia Heaton, Doris Roberts, Peter Boyle and Brad Garrett also starred on the sitcom. Everybody Loves Raymond Remains A Hit 21 Years Later Despite the continued popularity of Tracker and Marshals, and the fact that both are current series, Everybody Loves Raymond is still beating both of them on Paramount+'s Top 10 TV shows chart in the United States, as of October 14, 2026. The legendary sitcom, which ended 21 years ago and celebrated its 30th anniversary last month, is currently No. 6, with Marshals and Tracker sitting at No. 9 and 10, respectively. South Park, NCIS, Lioness, MobLand and Sheriff Country are in the top five spots above Everybody Loves Raymond, and Fire Country and Criminal Minds are at No. 7 and 8 ahead of Marshals. Interestingly, Everybody Loves Raymond is the only show in the Top 10 that's not currently on the air. The comedy earned multiple nominations at the Emmys and won 15 times, with Romano, Heaton, Roberts and Garrett all being honored at various times during its nine-season run; the series also won Outstanding Comedy Series twice. While it hasn't had the same impact on pop culture as other sitcoms like Friends or The Office in the years since, Everybody Loves Raymond continues to prove its staying power, as evidenced by its inclusion on Paramount's Top 10 chart. AThe Coffee Bean BMacLaren’s Pub CMonk’s Café DCentral Perk ✓ Correct! Central Perk is the coffee shop where the Friends gang spent most of their free time. With its iconic orange couch and Gunther behind the counter pining for Rachel, it became one of the most recognizable fictional locations in TV history. ✗ Cue the sad trombone! The answer is Central Perk. MacLaren’s Pub is from How I Met Your Mother, Monk’s Café is from Seinfeld, and The Coffee Bean is a real chain. Central Perk is where Phoebe played “Smelly Cat” and six friends became family. Which actor played the beloved Michael Scott? ASteve Carell BRainn Wilson CEd Helms DRicky Gervais ✓ Correct! Steve Carell turned Michael Scott into one of the most iconic sitcom characters ever. His mix of cringe-worthy humor and surprising heart anchored The Office for seven seasons. “That’s what she said” became an inescapable pop culture catchphrase. ✗ Cue the sad trombone! The answer is Steve Carell. Rainn Wilson played Dwight Schrute, Ed Helms was Andy Bernard, and Ricky Gervais created the original British version and played David Brent. Carell’s Michael Scott is the heart and soul of the American Office. Which show is it? AFrasier BEverybody Loves Raymond CSeinfeld DCurb Your Enthusiasm ✓ Correct! Seinfeld (1989–1998), created by Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David, revolutionized the sitcom with its observational humor about everyday life. From “The Contest” to “No soup for you!”, it produced some of the most quoted moments in TV history. ✗ Cue the sad trombone! The answer is Seinfeld. Frasier was a Cheers spin-off, Everybody Loves Raymond focused on family dynamics, and Curb Your Enthusiasm is Larry David’s later show (which is essentially a spiritual sequel). Seinfeld is the original “show about nothing.” NEXT → 04 In this CBS sitcom, a father in the year 2030 tells his children the winding, years-long story of how he met their mother. New Girl featured Jess and the loft gang, Happy Endings was a short-lived cult favorite, and The Big Bang Theory focused on Pasadena physicists. Only HIMYM gave us Barney’s Playbook and the blue French horn. NEXT → 05 Modern Family ran for 11 seasons on ABC, following three interconnected families. Jay Pritchett is the family patriarch played by Ed O’Neill, Cameron Tucker is Mitchell’s partner played by Eric Stonestreet, and Manny Delgado is Gloria’s son. Phil is the magic-loving, “cool dad” real estate agent. NEXT → 06 This 1980s sitcom is set in a Boston bar “where everybody knows your name.” It starred Ted Danson as an ex-baseball player turned bartender and ran for 11 seasons, spawning the spin-off Frasier. Which classic sitcom is this? ACheers BTaxi CNight Court DWings ✓ Correct! Cheers (1982–1993) is one of the most beloved sitcoms ever made. Ted Danson’s Sam Malone, Shelley Long and Kirstie Alley as his love interests, and a legendary ensemble made it a ratings juggernaut. Taxi was a late-70s/early-80s sitcom, Night Court was set in a courtroom, and Wings was actually created by Cheers writers but set at an airport. Only Cheers gave us Sam and Diane, Norm’s barstool, and one of TV’s all-time great theme songs. Only B99 featured the 99th Precinct and the legendary Jake-Holt dynamic. The answer is Will Smith. Martin Lawrence had his own show Martin, Eddie Murphy was already a film star, and Jamie Foxx had The Jamie Foxx Show. Only Will Smith flipped his life upside down and moved to Bel-Air to become the Fresh Prince. REVEAL MY SCORE → Season Finale Your Laugh Track Record / 8 Are you a showrunner — or still binge-watching reruns on the couch? ↻ RERUN Both Friends and The Office launched spinoffs, while another iconic comedy, Will & Grace, was revived in 2017, 11 years after the original series finale. Everybody Loves Raymond will never be given a revival, though, because it would be missing two key cast members, Boyle and Roberts, who passed away in 2006 and 2016, respectively. They also lost Sawyer Sweeten, who played one of Ray's children, in 2015 at the age of 19. Creator Phil Rosenthal and some of the actors have said in the past that an Everybody Loves Raymond revival would not be the same without them. However, the cast did come together for a two-part reunion in late 2025 ahead of the show's 30th anniversary. So even though the sitcom won't be coming back, fans can continue re-watching Everybody Loves Raymond on Paramount+, where it's currently ranking ahead of current shows like Tracker and Marshals.
