Tottenham make shock transfer enquiry for Chelsea star Mykhailo Mudryk after drugs ban was ended early

TOTTENHAM have made a loan enquiry for Mykhailo Mudryk. Spurs are trying to sign one more forward before Tuesday’s deadline but face serious competition from prime target Iliman Ndiaye from Manchester City. De Zerbi has previously described ‘Misha’ Mudryk as “like a son” and “a top player”. Chelsea beat Arsenal to the £88million signing of Mudryk from Shakhtar in 2023. But between December 2024 and July this year, Mudryk was banned by the FA for violating anti-doping rules. He was handed an initial four-year suspension but all charges were dropped and he was allowed to play again in all competitions. Leeds have shown interest in borrowing him from Chelsea, where his minutes will be restricted under Xabi Alonso. Sunderland have been mooted as a possible option too. Spurs are in negotiations for Tosin Adarabioyo from Chelsea too as a possible replacement for Kevin Danso, who wants to leave and is in talks to join Sunderland. There are still plenty of outgoings at Spurs expected before the deadline. Pape Matar Sarr, 23, is close to a loan to Juventus, with an option of £25.7m which will become mandatory should he play 50 per cent of matches and the Old Lady qualify for the Champions League or Europa League. Mikey Moore, 20, is finally set to complete his loan to Bundesliga side Cologne – a deal that was agreed three weeks ago – while left-back Souza, 19, is set to be loaned to Porto.
