Ponmani, in a statement, said that approximately 450 tonnes of waste is being collected from the 65 wards in Tiruchi on a daily basis. A survey found that 124 spots in the city, including TVS Tollgate, Venice Street, and Melapudur were regularly getting littered by the public.A total of 70 of these areas have been cleaned up by the Corporation and refurbished as ‘selfie-spots’.
