Tiger Shroff to resume work after Diwali, security tightened after firing incident

Actor Tiger Shroff is expected to return to the sets of Lag Jaa Gale next month, after Diwali, with his team putting a detailed security plan in place following the firing incident in Mumbai’s Juhu.Sources close to the actor told India Today that Tiger’s security team and the production team have met and worked out a plan to ensure that his location and shooting schedule remain confidential. Information about his movements will be shared only with a close-knit circle of people, while the production team is also taking extra precautions to ensure his safety on set.As India Today had earlier reported, Tiger has not resumed shooting since the October 18 incident, contrary to reports suggesting that he had returned to the sets of Karan Johar’s Lag Jaa Gale, which co-stars Janhvi Kapoor. The actor is currently at home with his family and is expected to resume shooting for the film next month, after the festivities. He also has a couple of other projects and professional commitments lined up, all of which remain on schedule. While the incident understandably left Tiger and his family shaken, sources say they are now keen to move forward and want the actor to return to his normal routine, albeit with additional security measures in place. "Tiger and his family have, of course, been through a lot, but they are now confident and want him to lead a normal life. The teams have discussed the security arrangements, and everyone is being careful about who is privy to his schedule and location," a source said. The firing incident took place on October 18, when three men on a motorcycle opened fire near a football ground in Juhu, where Tiger had been playing football. The actor escaped unhurt, while his driver and another person sustained injuries. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang later claimed responsibility for the attack. Police launched an investigation, and the accused have been taken into custody. The investigation is ongoing. - Ends
