There’s Allegedly “Chaos” Backstage on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Thanks to One of the Celeb’s Boyfriends

Dancing With the Stars has been on exactly one week and apparently there’s already some drama brewing behind the scenes. While the cast is seemingly getting along just fine so far (yay), the Daily Mail reports that celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis’ boyfriend, Shane Farley, is a TV producer with...a lot of (alleged!) opinions.Shane happens to be an Emmy Award winner who’s worked on major shows like The Voice, so obviously he knows his way around a successful TV show. But feathers are being ruffled. “Shane is a total control freak,” a source alleges to the Daily Mail. “He thinks he knows television better than everyone else in the room... Everything has to go through Shane.”They add that “He's her boyfriend, manager, agent, bodyguard and publicist all rolled into one. He behaves like Giada is Taylor Swift with a frying pan. Everything is treated like an enormous event requiring layers of protection and control.”Per the Daily Mail, Shane’s “fierce protectiveness” stems from genuine love for Giada, but it’s “made life difficult for people simply trying to do their jobs.”“This is personal for him. Her success is his success, which means he gets involved in absolutely everything,” the insider claims, while another adds, “Nobody is questioning how much he loves her. The problem is Shane still thinks like an executive producer… Except he's not the executive producer of Dancing with the Stars.”Giada is paired with Alan Bersten this season on Dancing With the Stars and—for what it’s worth—so far the judges and viewers seem to love them.
