The world’s worst human rights violators just gathered in NYC to lecture Israel

It’s United Nations General Assembly high-level week, and you know what that means: high-level dignitary pageantry, high-level meetings on sensitive issues, high-level decision-making for universal matters, and high-level hate against one particular nation.There’s nothing quite like the chance to dunk on the Jewish state to bring the dysfunctional global family together. And there’s certainly nothing like the Jew-hate of anti-Zionism, from the pathetically performative to the ingrained-in-the-veins, to spotlight one’s own dark realities.This week has been an absolute metaphor for the entire anti-Zionist movement, perfectly encapsulating both its internal ideology and external activism, and broadcasting all of its moral shortcomings on the world stage in a trifecta of glaring hypocrisy. To start, the movement standard of double standards has been on display as bright as the city’s marquees. As the script demands, Israel and its prime minister are continually railed against as both a genocidal state and war criminals, yet the U.N. is perfectly willing to entertain genuine war criminals, and the TikTok “humanitarians” gathered outside couldn’t be less interested in their stateside presence.All those representatives of nations without basic freedoms and civil rights, freely walking American streets, staying in American hotels, and benefiting from American protection are blindly ignored in favor of a singular, demented focus on that single sliver of the region actually upholding such necessities. Because in the doubly inverse and perverse model reserved only for this region, Israel must be demonized and dehumanized for self-defense, while its surrounding second-rate states are infantilized and enabled to commit all the human offenses for which anti-Zionists feign to fight.Moving inside the hypocritical headquarters, one next finds the inevitable anti-Zionist habit of confession through projection, where every accusation against Israel somehow always ends up being the admission of one’s own failings.U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres made sure to get everyone assembled against the Jewish state in his opening remarks. Yet while blaming Israel for allegedly hindering peace efforts, he conveniently forgot that his very own U.N. quite literally fomented the violence of Oct. 7 that ended the previous ceasefire, as well as has historically promoted decades of conflict in the region.King Abdullah II of Jordan followed with the complaint that Israel forcibly seized Judea and Samaria, seemingly forgetting that Jordan itself forcibly seized that territory in 1948, and is the reason why most of the world has come to call that land the “West Bank” in the first place. Not satisfied with ending there, Abdullah also accused Israel of violations against the Arabs in the territory, though his family’s kingdom ironically revoked Jordanian citizenship and rights from that very population decades before.Next up was President Masoud Pezeshkian of Iran, who, among a buffet of ranting, accused Israel of deliberately targeting innocent civilians and neighborhoods, when it is his own satanic regime that has and continues to target and murder civilians both abroad in Israel and fellow Islamic nations, as well as at home in their own streets.Then President Emmanuel Macron of France, the next hopeful addition to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, was eager to try his hand at the pile-on, claiming that Hamas does not operate in Judea and Samaria, a blatant falsehood that not only advertised a lack of international understanding of terrorism, but a lack of domestic understanding on how to keep his own country from falling into an immoral abyss.Not to be outdone, the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani of Qatar, the penthouse for Hamas itself, defamed Israel as “a stain of shame on the conscience of humanity,” apparently lacking any personal shame whatsoever for funding tangible terrorism against Israel as well as promoting intangible ideology throughout Western society.And last, but certainly not least in irony, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey had no plans to let a little international conference contain him to reality, denouncing Israel of having a “genocidal mindset” despite his nation’s own, well, you know.Which brings us to Netanyahu’s own assembly speech: nearly 40 minutes of refreshing, unabashed mic drops, with no need to mince words over stark facts, nor any desire to lower oneself for those who cannot handle one’s strength, let alone pure existence. Unfortunately, it was an extremely sparse crowd in attendance, as so many spineless delegates just could not seem to bring themselves to stay and listen to such resolve.Once again, the staged walkout was an impeccable demonstration not only of the uselessness of the U.N. itself, but the third facet of anti-Zionist hypocrisy: an inherent dependence on hollow performance, in which superficial theatrics are substituted for genuine action, and internal meaning is derived from meaningless external displays. Ironically, such a shallow show only ends up serving as a reflection of their own intolerance, rather than their projected idea of intolerance speaking at the podium. But for those who rely on burying truth and uplifting libel as their preferred brand of activism, not one moment can ever be spared to be reminded of the damning reality that does exist and their own fantasy that does not.This never-ending tantrum of hypocrisy, projection, and performance continues to make one thing abundantly clear, and it’s not an indictment of Israel’s actions.SILENT ON SUDAN, LOUD ON ISRAEL: YOUR ANTISEMITISM IS SHOWINGThe entire sham of the anti-Zionist movement exists solely to mask its adherents’ own utter sham of basic humanity. It compulsively virtue signals to the world to distract from its intrinsic ethical inadequacy. It assigns lies to others of which only it is guilty. It allows and condones horrific crimes against its population in order to excuse and promote crimes against others. All in the effort to hide its uniting core that, under the veneer of empathy and altruism, lies a vacuum of all humanitarianism they seek to project.But like all other weeks of posturing in the streets or official halls, it ultimately means nothing against the determination of a country that continues to choose to rise above its tragedies, to turn one of its worst days in history into a launch pad for more secure days ahead, and to overcome, yet again, whatever was thrown at it by others, through taking control of itself. In the end, that kind of success is what the failed others just cannot handle.
