The Wheel Of Time: The One Power Officially Releases 2027

Published Oct 31, 2026, 2:00 AM EDT Known as 'Cyberpunk 2077's' biggest fan, Angharad is a Welsh games writer who thrives in anything related to digital storytelling. If a video game explores the intricacies and horrors of womanhood, she is there. Thanks to previous work at GAMINGbible, GameByte, The Loadout, Game Luster, Angharad has built a strong understanding of both the digital world and what fans want from it and is eager to share her thoughts and expertise with readers. Beginning back in 1990 with the publication of The Eye of the World, the series, which is best known as The Wheel of Power, has gone on to become one of the most successful in the high fantasy genre. Written by Robert Jordan, with Brandon Sanderson stepping in as co-writer for the final three books, it was in 2021 that Amazon Prime cashed in on its popularity by airing a show of the same name, which ran until May 2025, when it was unceremoniously canceled after its third season. However, with a dedicated fanbase behind it, it is no wonder that a campaign was soon underway to attempt to save the show, but at the time of writing, the #SaveWOT campaign has not led to the show's renewal. That being said, it is not all doom and gloom, as although the beloved show remains in the television show graveyard, the world continues to live on and now, The Wheel Of Time: The One Power is set to arrive in 2027. Launching in 2027 is War of the Dragon: The Wheel of Time, and following in June will be The Wheel Of Time: The One Power, courtesy of Kickstarter. So what are these two new exciting releases set in The Wheel of Time universe? Well, War of the Dragon: The Wheel of Time is an upcoming grand strategy game from Dire Wolf Games that aims to bring Jordan's high fantasy series to life by chronicling "the epic conflict between the forces of light and darkness, embodied in the Rand al'Thor, The Dragon Reborn, and his eternal nemesis, The Dark One." Players will be tasked with stepping into these roles in order "to wage war against a land of magic, ancient prophecies, and powerful armies set to save the world... or destroy it." As for The One Power, it is one of the many pledges supporters are able to back, with this one coming in at $123 USD. Purchasing it will guarantee you the Wheel of Time: The One Power edition of the board game when it releases in June 2027, with the set including several cardboard standees, limited-edition plastic mini figures, and all of the features of the standard Backerkit. As the "silver" tier, The One Power is the mid-level pledge. As such, if users wanted to splash a bit more cash, they could have checked out The Last Battle Bundle, which includes the Component Upgrade Pack, War of the Dragon card sleeves, a neoprene playmat, and more. The catch here is that, now that the Kickstarter campaign has ended, pledges are no longer being accepted. However, if any of these bundles have caught your eye, you will be pleased to hear that when War of the Dragon: The Wheel of Time launches some time in 2027 and heads to retail, potential customers will want to keep up to date with Dire Wolf to learn when physical copies of each bundle are made available to purchase. So, if you miss the world of The Wheel of Time, and also happen to be a TTRPG fan, you will want to keep up-to-date with War of the Dragon: The Wheel of Time. Who knows? Maybe its success will finally lead to the show's renewal...
