The Pokémon Center Opens Pre-Orders For Delta Reign, The Next Big TCG Set

Here's what's up for sale — and what you can expect. What's in the Delta Reign TCG set? The set includes over 135 cards, 14 illustration rare cards, 17 ultra-rare cards, and six special illustration rare cards. The big chase cards are expected to be Mega Rayquaza ex (and its golden variant), Raikou ex, Groudon, Growlithe, Magmortar, Electivire, and Kecleon. Collectors are also looking forward to the hobby's first-ever embroidered card. What is TPC selling for Delta Reign pre-orders? The big ticket item is, of course, the green and blue Elite Trainer Box, which comes with 11 booster packs, sleeves, dice, coins, and a Kyogre illustration rare card. The MSRP is $59.00, but the competition for this one will be fierce. Pokémon Center ETBs are highly sought-after, and tend to have high prices on the resale market thanks to the special Pokémon Center promo stamp on the box and promo cards. The entire pre-order window should last several hours as well. The Pokémon Center's stock tends to be huge for the initial wave of pre-orders. Also up for sale are the $26.94 Delta Reign Booster Bundle with six packs and the $159.99 Display box. The display box will likely last the longest, as it is the most expensive item on the docket. Why is my Pokémon Center wait time so high? It's an estimate. Expect the wait time to fluctuate wildly as you wait. Don't worry if it suddenly gets much longer and don't get too excited if it gets way shorter. A ten-minute timer can become a one-hour wait time, or vice versa. It doesn't mean something went wrong — so don't refresh the page and get put at the back of the line. Hang tight even if the page goes blank: if you got a timer initially, it will eventually reload by itself. What is Error 17: Access Denied? Some claim that it's possible to circumvent bans like this by clearing your cache and trying again with a different payment method and email. However, the more you try loading the site after a ban, the less likely it is to go away. The ban could stick beyond this pre-order period. Why is TPC displaying Error 15? The error happens when too many people try to load a website at the same time. Pokémon Center users see it while navigating the site or trying to check out. Error 15 is not as problematic as Error 17, as you are still allowed to make a pre-order. However, getting rid of Error 15 can be tough. The advice is mostly the same, though: clear your cookies, restart your router, and try again. Are Pokémon products like the ETB truly unavailable? The Pokémon Center does not always display the correct information. If it says out of stock while trying to check out, navigate back to the original product page and then check your cart again. You can also try the cart trick, which involves visiting the product page and then checking your cart. There should be an option that says back to product. Click it, and the 'unavailable' product should still be there. The product may in fact be out of stock though — especially if it's the Elite Trainer Box. The best way to know is to join a restock Discord server with people who have access to TPC's backend. How can I improve my chances of buying cards on TPC? First you'll probably want to join a Discord stock group, so you can get a heads-up the moment the pre-order goes live. You can sign up for alerts via The Pokémon Center itself, but historically, those emails can lag up to an hour. By then, the most desirable pre-orders may be long gone. Most recommend navigating the website slowly and manually inputting all your information rather than using autofill. If possible, do not use Wi-Fi and avoid using a phone. A wired PC connection is the safest, and, unlike mobile, won't run the risk of reloading by itself when you're not looking. Users also tend to report more issues when trying to check out using payment processors such as PayPal and Apple Pay -- so you may be better off using a credit card! I couldn't buy any Pokémon cards. If you're dead-set on Delta Reign, you should check out its recently announced pre-release events. While these require learning the actual TCG game, pre-release events offer a fantastic deal that won't require waiting in line for hours. Better yet, you cn purchase the set weeks ahead of its official release date.
