The Best EDC Flashlight is Flat—This One is 20% Off for Prime Big Deal Days

1 min readI’m a bit of a stickler when it comes to the term EDC. As a self-proclaimed EDC nerd, I like diving into materials of blade knives, and the lumen count of flashlights. But none of it matters unless the pocket knife, flashlight, etc. is truly sleek enough for everyday carry. In the case of flashlights, I’ve found the most EDC-friendly option to be a flat one: The Olight ArkPro is hands-down the most portable flashlight I’ve owned, and it’s 20 percent off during Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days.Shop All Amazon Prime Big Deal Days DealsThe Olight ArkPro is slightly bigger than a tube of lip balm, and a little over half an inch in diameter. It’s smaller than the Benchmade I carry everyday and extremely lightweight to where I forget it’s in my pocket. Aside from the sleek design, its functionality is what continues to impress me and other PopMech editors—there’s a reason we can’t stop recommending it.As Reviews Editor Tom Price notes “the transition from spotlight to floodlight to UV light was smooth via the thumb dial on the top” and the flashlight just feels good in hand. The green laser pointer is operated by a separate button and laser and light can be used at the same time. Price uses the ArkPro while camping and loves how he can seamlessly switch between lighting paths, point out trees or animals, and even pitch a tent in pitch black using the flood light mode.Danny Perez is a Reviews Editor for Popular Mechanics with a focus on men's style, gear, and home goods.
