This air fryer is spacious too. (Picture: Metro/Getty/Scott Da Silva-Wells) Metro journalists select and curate the products that feature on our site. What’s not to love? They’re a quicker and healthier alternative, and many of them can do it all. I’m talking roast, air fry, bake, grill, and warm up all in one nifty machine. Thankfully, they have come a long way in their design, making them look sleeker and earning their rightful place on the kitchen counter beside other appliances. My usual air fryer setup is a double-drawer, allowing you to alternate and cook things on separate timings. However, when I discovered the Cuisinart ClearView 8 in 1 Air Fryer, I just had to give it a go. The Cuisinart ClearView 8-in-1 Air Fryer takes the guesswork out of cooking thanks to its clever viewing windows and interior light, allowing you to check on food without opening the drawer. With a generous 8.5L capacity, multiple cooking functions including air fry, roast and grill, plus a sleek design, it's a great option for busy families looking for quick, crispy results with minimal fuss. Buy Now for £116.99 (was £129.99) What makes this machine so special, and one that has made me move on from my previous machine, is the two glass panels that let you see the magic taking place without having to open the drawers and lose the heat inside. It also has an interior light so you can watch every moment if you so wish (and I did). It has a large 8.5L capacity, so there is plenty of room to stuff it with your favourite meals. This allows food to be spread out so each item gets direct heat and cooks evenly. So many incredible functions. (Picture: Metro/Scott Da Silva-Wells) The first meal we chose to put to the test was something simple, but one that I knew would be the deciding factor in how good it was: grilled chicken and roast potatoes. I love a roast potato, and the air fryer served up golden, crunchy, yet soft-in-the-middle goodness. The chicken was perfectly cooked, keeping its moisture and staying tender. I was slightly worried about how even the cooking would be with both ingredients in the drawer together, but it’s so large that the cooking was very even, so it didn’t make the slightest difference. I was also really impressed by how quickly it heated up. Compared to my previous model, which would take a little while, I chose the bake option for some croissants, and it was heated and ready to go within a minute. This air fryer makes incredible roast potatoes. (Picture: Metro/Scott Da Silva-Wells) You can set the temperature up to 230 degrees, which is higher than most models, with many only being able to reach 200. This allows for much better custom control over how you cook meals. Ask Metro Use AI to go deeper into the stories you care about – powered by Metro and trusted publications. The Cuisinart ClearView 8 in 1 Air Fryer has five cooking functions: air fry, roast, grill, max crisp, and dehydrate, plus an additional three smart presets for pizza, recrisp and keep warm. The keep warm function says ‘it holds food at serving temperature for up to 30 minutes’, so of course, I put it to the test. After eating my meal and leaving the leftovers on this setting until the timer went off to indicate it had been sitting there for the duration, I tested the food still inside, and it was genuinely kept warm, not hot, so you could serve it straight away if you so wish. You can keep an eye on how your items are cooking with ease. (Picture: Metro/Scott Da Silva-Wells) When cooking, you can even set a shake reminder, so if you’re busy prepping or distracted by your favourite reality show, it will let off a gentle sound reminding you to turn, mix or, as it says in the title, shake for a more even bake. Once finished, it is so easy to clean by wiping the inside and being able to place the non-stick basket, which is PFAS-free to provide cleaner, non-toxic cooking, into the dishwasher. It makes the whole process so smooth and easy from start to finish. There’s honestly nothing I would change about the Cuisinart ClearView 8 in 1 Air Fryer. The next test I’ll be putting it to is seeing how it performs when hosting (I already have high hopes).
