A handful of doting husbands revealed they spent more than 12 gruelling hours queuing outside a luxury resale shop so that their wives could get their hands on discounted Chanel bags. More than 2,000 shoppers descended on Sellier in Knightsbridge, London, over the weekend for the flash sale, where coveted Hermès, Dior and Louis Vuitton bags were also being sold for less than £2,500. The queue snaked around the street corner on September 26, causing chaos in the local area as bargain hunters waited for their chance to snap up a designer deal.But among the crowds of female shoppers were a number of devoted husbands and partners who had been sent along to hold their other halves' places in the queue. One husband had been waiting since 11.30pm the night before, with his wife arriving just minutes before the doors opened to take over and secure her dream bag. She said: 'My partner bless him, he’s been here since half 11. I pulled up about two minutes ago, jumped out and switched over. He’s a good egg.' But even 12 hours was not the longest wait.
