Thailand's King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua and Queen Suthida Bajrasudha Bimalalakshana will pay a state visit to Vietnam from Sept. 14 to 16. The Foreign Ministry said in a Sept. 10 statement that the visit comes at the invitation of Party General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife.King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua, known by his regnal name Rama X, took the throne in 2016 at the age of 64. Twenty Vietnamese provinces and cities have signed cooperation or twinning agreements with Thai localities.Around 100,000 Vietnamese live in Thailand, and between 2,000 and 3,000 are studying or conducting research there.
