Dr. Terry Dubrow Breaks Down Meaning of an “Ozempic Penis”Warning: You won’t be able to unlearn the knowledge Terry Dubrow recently dropped. And, well, his intel about how plastic surgery and cadavers are connected cuts pretty deep. But if you’re still reading this, fine. We’ll allow the Botched star himself to explain. “The new thing is cadaveric fat transfer,” Dubrow informed Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg on the Nov. 3 episode of her eponymous podcast. “Have you heard of this?” In response, an aghast McCarthy Wahlberg asked, “Does that mean from cadavers?” “Yes,” Dubrow affirmed, sparking the Two and a Half Men alum to make a disgusted noise, before he added, “That’s the hot new thing.” For the particularly macabre, here’s how it works. AlloClae, the name brand for such an injectable, is a non-surgical body contouring solution made from donated human fat tissue (yes, we’re talking about cadavers). The injectable is comprised of non-living fat cells, extracellular matrix, triglycerides and connective tissues. The way alloClae is processed, per its website, preserves the natural 3D structure of fat cells, allowing for immediate volume without the downtime and invasiveness that comes with surgery. For those whose minds are still reeling with concerns, Dubrow told McCarthy Wahlberg, “It's been processed and radiated and stuff like that. But there's different kinds of cadaver fat. One of the kinds, there's no cells in it. It's just the matrix and you injected it and your own fat grows into it.”Photo by FOX via Getty ImagesThe 68-year-old emphasized, “That's the hot thing right now.” Of course, while the trend might be new in the world of plastic surgery, the use of cadavers has been a regular practice in dentistry. Allograft bone is processed, sterilized bone harvested from deceased donors and is used in procedures such as dental bone grating, socket and ridge preservation as well as periodontal defect repair. Though cadaveric fat transfer was a new one for McCarthy Wahlberg, allograft bone is a concept she’s previously sunk her teeth into—literally. “Do you know how many dead bodies are in my mouth from all of my mouth surgeries that I've had?” the 54-year-old said to Dubrow. “Like, I've eaten more cadavers in the last two years than I ever thought I would.” Nevertheless, she added, “I don't think I want cadaver's fat.” But while cadaveric fat transfers are relatively fresh out the box, so to speak, plastic surgery itself has long existed within Hollywood.
