Terrifying moment thug threatens elderly woman with knife on her doorstep before spitting in her face in fly-tipping row

THIS is the moment a thug threatened an elderly woman with a knife and spat in her face after a doorstep row. When the elderly couple came outside, Allen launched into a torrent of abuse before pulling a knife from his waistband. He can be heard telling the pair “film me now, film me now” before they ask him to leave for being drunk and “silly”. Allen then swears before telling them: “You laugh and all that so I’ll put this in your front. “Don’t try that me again. I’ll put this straight in your front.” The brave woman told Allen she was not “stooping” to his level and ordered him to leave their property. He then started attacking the doorbell with a knife while she tried pushing him out the way. You’re threatening me with a knife.” Allen then warns her that he will “put this [knife] straight in your knee”. The couple continue to bravely stand their ground as Allen makes more threats against the woman before he spits in her face and storms off. Northamptonshire Police said at the time of the attack, he was wanted by cops for controlling and coercive behaviour against his ex-partner. The thug has now been jailed for three-and-a-half years after admitting one count of making threats to kill, assault by beating, possession of a knife blade in a public place, criminal damage to property and engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour. A further count of making threats to kill was ordered to remain on file at Northampton Crown Court. Allen was also handed two restraining orders including an indefinite order protecting the elderly couple and a five-year order protecting his ex-partner. The orders ban him from contacting any of the three victims directly or indirectly. Detective Constable Rachael McDaid said: “Jamie Allen’s behaviour towards both the elderly couple and his ex-partner was completely unacceptable. “He used threats, intimidation, and violence to control and frighten those around him, leaving a lasting impact on the people he targeted, and I would like to thank them all for their support throughout this investigation. “I would also like to commend the courage shown by Allen’s ex-partner who reported his controlling and coercive behaviour, as well as the bravery of the elderly couple who stood up to him despite being subjected to his threatening and aggressive behaviour.”
