These included the construction of railway underpasses and overbridges, development of approach roads, road widening works, doubling of railway lines, and measures to improve public transport connectivity to the Cherlapalli railway station.Emphasising the importance of rail connectivity for Telangana’s economic, industrial and regional development, the Chief Secretary directed departmental officials and district collectors to expedite the resolution of pending issues and ensure that projects are completed within stipulated timelines.DPRs for 17 railway projects submittedSCR officials informed the meeting that DPRs for 17 railway projects covering 2,023 km, with an estimated investment of ₹50,870 crore, have already been submitted to the Railway Board for consideration. Assuring full support from the State government, Mr. Jaju called for joint inspections by railway and State government officials to identify practical solutions to outstanding issues affecting project implementation.The meeting also reviewed the progress of ongoing railway projects, challenges related to land acquisition, and administrative approvals required from various departments. Participants discussed measures to ensure timely execution of projects and decided to prepare DPRs to mobilise funds under the PM Gati Shakti programme.Mr. Jaju further instructed officials from the Municipal Administration, Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB), Revenue, Energy and Roads & Buildings departments to work closely with SCR to facilitate the implementation of railway projects across the State.
