The boy was a resident of Barangay Laungcupang in La Paz, Tarlac. Police have yet to release an official report, but an initial investigation identified the suspects as an 18-year-old, a 14-year-old minor, and two adolescents both aged 17. The confrontation allegedly began after the suspects became irritated by the loud noise from the victim’s motorcycle muffler. The argument later escalated into a confrontation in an overgrown area near the boundary of the two villages. Rjhay’s companion escaped and hid in a nearby field. The following day, he sought help from barangay officials and reported the incident.
