NewsUS News A TEACHER has confessed to sexually assaulting a teenage boy after describing the abuse in text messages with a convicted paedophile. Abigail Faust, 25, was caught detailing her inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old during a police probe of fellow educator Madison Bergman. Bergman, 26, pleaded guilty last year to sexually assaulting one of her 11-year-old students. Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! She is now serving a six-year prison sentence. Faust said in court on Monday as she admitted to the abuse: “What I did was not a mistake or a lapse of judgment.” The suspect also claimed she was seeing a therapist as a result of the ordeal, local media reported. Faust confessed to sexually assaulting the 15-year-old while working as the family’s nanny in Washington County. She was also charged in a second case for allegedly kissing a fifth-grade boy, believed to be 11 years old, in her classroom last year. The accused has agreed a plea deal with prosecutors – who dropped the kissing case in return for a sentence no longer than 15 years. Most read in The Sun Meanwhile, Bergman pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual misconduct by school staff and one count of child enticement. The confession came after the young boy’s parents found lewd text conversations with the teacher on their son’s phone.
