Taylor Swift announces major music release after ‘Patient Zero’ news

Taylor Swift announced an “encore” version to her 2025 album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” on Wednesday. “About a year ago, you guys did a truly unfathomable thing. Something that completely blew my mind… You gave The Life of a Showgirl the biggest first week for an album in history,” the pop star wrote on Instagram. Swift, 36, said after the album came out last October, she took a trip to Sweden with her collaborators Max Martin and Shellback, and they wrote more songs for the album. Her announcement comes after she revealed the forthcoming release of “Patient Zero.” “I’ve been impatiently waiting to tell you that my brand new single ‘Patient Zero’ will be out on September 25 (!!!!!!!!!!!!),” the “Cruel Summer” singer wrote via Instagram Tuesday.
