Tata Sons AGM adjourned due to lack of quorum

However, after a 30-minute wait, the AGM was adjourned in accordance with the applicable norms.The Board of Tata Sons is expected to meet in the coming weeks to decide on a fresh date for the AGM.Tata Sons Chairperson N. Chandrasekaran, who had announced not to continue after February 2027, was seen arriving at the Bombay House for the meeting.Sir Ratan Tata Trust (SRTT), the second-largest shareholder in Tata Sons, was unable to nominate a member for the meeting due to continuing restrictions imposed by the Maharashtra Charity Commissioner, the people said.The AGM was scheduled to consider the company’s financial statements for FY26, the dividend approved by the board and the reappointment of Chandrasekaran as a member of the Tata Sons board.
