If you make a purchase via links on this page we will earn commission - learn moreWith less than 100 days until December 25, no doubt many of us are eking out the final few drops of our favourite perfume to make it last until we (hopefully) receive a new bottle on Christmas morning.And this festive season, most of us will be hoping to spritz ourselves with the oriental floral fragrance of Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle, according to The Perfume Shop.The £78 scent, first launched in 2001, is set to reign supreme in the 2026 Christmas perfume market, closely followed by Prada Paradoxe Eau de Parfum, priced at £75.Gucci's new £78 floral scent Gorgeous Orchid Intense came third on the list, with the British High Street retailer's predictions including five popular perfumes, as well as five predictions for the best selling cologne for men this year.Christmas is the busiest time for perfume sales, and beauty consumers spend nearly as much in the last quarter of the year on fragrance as they spend for the whole rest of the 12 months combined.Read on to discover the top ten perfumes for women and men that experts predict will be under every Christmas tree this year... It is an oriental floral fragrance with top notes of orange, mandarin orange, orange blossom and bergamot.The middle notes are mimosa, jasmine, Turkish rose, and ylang-ylang, while the base notes are tonka bean, patchouli, opoponax, vanilla, vetiver, and white musk. Also making the list was YSL Libre, which was launched in 2019 with British singer Dua Lipa.YSL Libre is an oriental fougere fragrance, with top notes of mandarin oil, petitgrain oil, lavandine France oil, and a blackcurrant accord. At the heart are notes of lavender oil, jasmine sambac absolute, jasmine grandiflorum India absolute, and orange flower absolute, while the base includes vanilla extract Madagascar, cedarwood oil, ambergris accord and musk. Gucci Flora Gorgeous Orchid Intense Eau de Parfum is also set to be popular, with Miley Cyrus being the face of Gucci Flora perfumes. Finishing the list for women was Carolina Herrera's La Bomba Eau de Parfum, priced at £67.For men, the predictions included Hugo Boss' BOSS Bottled Beyond Eau de Toilette (costing £76) and Yves Saint Laurent MYSLF Le Parfum (£105).As well as the list of perfumes for women, Prada was also on the predictions for cologne, with the Italian luxury fashion house's Paradigme Parfum (£102) taking third place.Finishing off the list was Armani I WILL Eau de Parfum (£25) and the Dior Sauvage men's fragrance (£89).Johnny Depp is the longtime face of Dior's Sauvage perfumes, a partnership that began in 2015 and was recently extended with a reported three-year, $20 million-plus deal signed in 2023. He has featured in several campaigns for the scent, including the 2021 advertisement where he played electric guitar and a 2024 campaign depicting him by a wild river.The list of popular perfumes comes after Argos unveiled its annual predictions for the toys that will top children's Christmas lists this year - from retro-inspired vinyl sets that bridge the generational gap to futuristic inventions for tech-savvy tots. Many of the British retailer's festive predictions will be familiar to parents - with characters from the smash-hit film K-Pop Demon Hunters and Toy Story 5. Classic brands such as Hot Wheels and Lego also still find a spot on the list alongside interactive toys, including the £30 Peppa Pig figure that your child can teach to ride a bike. The toy reacts to instructions from children with more than 75 sounds and phrases, and even comes with a set of bandages to heal Peppa after small falls. Another likely hit is the set of £35 singing dolls modelled after the beloved Demon Hunters characters Rumi, Zoey and Mira. The movie became one of Netflix's biggest successes and is even a favourite of Princess Charlotte's. There's something for movie fans of all ages, with toddlers who loved Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie able to keep the fun going with a massive, 2ft dinosaur that automatically inflates at the press of a button. Several toys on the list are inspired by the same wave of nostalgia that has brought iPods back into fashion. This includes a £20 vinyl record player that spins and plays music from chart-topping artists, with 44 mini-records to collect. On the other end of the price scale, Lego's £150 Donkey Kong Arcade Building Set is also steeped in sentimentality as it revives the magic of the classic Eighties arcade game. Musically inclined children might ask Santa for the £50 VTech Kidi 12-In-1 Guitar Superstar that features touch-sensitive strings and light-up fret buttons for a very rock-n-roll Christmas. Other options include a fuzzy, purple Flutter Monster, which gives its owner a space for all their feelings - big and small. The set includes note cards for children to write or draw their emotions and then tuck them away safely inside the monster's tummy.
