Al M., who was prosecuted separately, is accused of attacking a man with a knife at the Field of Stelae at the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe in Berlin-Mitte and causing life-threatening injuries, according to the statement.According to previous reports, Al M. attacked the victim with a knife, leaving him with life-threatening injuries. The chief federal prosecutor said that Al M. “acted out of radical Islamist and antisemitic motivations.”Al M. was found guilty of the attack on March 5, 2026, by the Higher Regional Court of Berlin and sentenced to 13 years in prison on charges including attempted murder and dangerous bodily harm. He later survived the attack.Following the attack, Berlin Victims’ Commissioner Roland Weber said that “The brutal knife attack last Friday at the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin was a deeply inhumane and disturbing act.”Follow us on Google
