Sydney woman who dismembered husband could be released in one year

September 18, 2026 — 11:22amA woman who killed and dismembered her abusive husband, dumping pieces of his body in dozens of bins around Sydney, could walk out of prison in just one year.Nirmeen Noufl was on Friday sentenced for manslaughter by Justice Peter Hamill for killing her husband, Mamdouh, in May 2024 at their Greenacre home.Nirmeen Noufl killed and dismembered her husband Mamdouh Noufl.Noufl pleaded guilty after prosecutors agreed to a plea deal which saw them drop the charge of murder on the basis Mamdouh had been abusive towards his wife and was physically attacking her when she stabbed him with a sharp tool.She cut up his body with a circular saw in the home and dropped the pieces in garbage bins around Bexley and Chullora.
