(KRON) -- Hundreds of swimmers will brave the chilly waters of the San Francisco Bay and paddle from Alcatraz Island this weekend. Saturday, Aug. 8 marks the 33rd Alcatraz Sharkfest Swim, a 1.5-mile ocean marathon from Alcatraz to Aquatic Park on San Francisco's northern waterfront.
