Sudden labour pains, baby born inside traffic police chowki outside Surat station

A pregnant woman travelling with her husband and child to Madhya Pradesh gave birth at a traffic police chowki outside Surat Railway Station after she developed sudden labour pains on Saturday afternoon.The incident took place at around 3.20 pm outside Surat Railway Station, Gujarat. The couple was preparing to travel to Madhya Pradesh with their child when the woman suddenly experienced severe labour pains.She began crying due to the pain, drawing the attention of people around her. Traffic police and Traffic Brigade personnel deployed outside the railway station noticed her condition and approached her husband to find out what had happened.The husband told the personnel that his wife was pregnant and had suddenly gone into labour. Seeing her condition, the Traffic Brigade personnel immediately took the woman and her husband to a nearby traffic police chowki. Emergency medical staff present at the railway station were also alerted and called to the spot.BABY BORN INSIDE TRAFFIC POLICE CHOWKIBefore the woman could be taken further, her labour pains intensified and she gave birth to a baby inside the traffic police chowki. The newborn's cries soon filled the police outpost, turning the scene from one of anxiety into one of relief. Traffic police and Traffic Brigade personnel assisted the woman, while medical staff provided the necessary initial care.Following the delivery, an ambulance was immediately called.
