The showcase will be a mix of its older collection and some of the new pieces that will be showcased at the India Art Fair, to be held in Ahmedabad later in the month. Roshni Jhaveri, who started Studio Renn along with her husband Rahul in 2018, says that most pieces in the collection are unique because of the cuts of the gemstones used. “These are not modern cuts, or cut into standardised shapes. Because of these specific cuts and shapes, the pieces cannot be replicated,” says Roshni. A piece from Studio Renn collection in Collage “We are showing old cuts in diamonds — antique cuts, table cuts, old-mine cuts — this is how diamonds used to be cut by hand before technology made it precise, which gives them their own character and shows the skill of the cutters,” she further adds. They will also be showing gem-quality Columbian emeralds — beads and sugarloafs in a contemporary setting. The collection has rings, earrings and necklaces. Since its inception, the brand has been known for its unique designs and something that is ‘beautifully imperfect’, with a design language that moves away from the conventional. For instance, its award-winning Stangler Ring won the Innovation award at Couture in 2021. The ring was an acid-treated concrete construct, reinforced with blackened 18k grey gold and set with brilliant-cut diamonds. It can only be defined as wearable art. With its sixth year showcasing in Chennai, Roshni says, “this city has a very discerning audience for us, who are not only quality-conscious, but also have a keen eye for design.” The Studio Renn showcase will be at Collage, Rutland Gate, on September 11 and 12. The pieces are priced ₹4lakh onwards Published - September 05, 2026 09:30 am IST
