Last night, the celebrity class of 2026 danced their way through Movie Week with performances inspired by Ratatouille, Wicked, Titanic and Grease – to name a few. In the end, the bottom couples included Will and Diane, Chris and Amy and Melanie and Aljaz – with all in peril of getting the boot. It also marked the first show of this season, which would lead to an elimination, with the first one set to be revealed tonight during the results show. However, just hours before we discover who will be dancing for their lives and ultimately getting the chop, the result has leaked. The Sunday episode is traditionally pre-recorded straight after Saturday’s live show, making it vulnerable to having information leaked before the show gets the chance to air it. There were several couples milling around the bottom (Picture: Guy Levy/BBC/PA Wire) In this case, the results were revealed on a Strictly spoiler forum and quickly went viral on social media. For those who have seen it, they’ve been left ‘devastated’ by the result. One X user, slinehan1, ‘can’t believe it’, while dianeisblind called it ‘a shame’. Olivia believes the leaving duo ‘weren’t the worst couple last night’ but on the other hand Mutteroo ‘could see that coming’. This year’s season has been under plenty of scrutiny as legendary co-hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman bid adieu and were replaced by the trio Josh Widdicombe, Emma Willis and Johannes Radebe. But their debut has not been without its teething issues. After the first live episode, many fans believed comedian Josh would be better suited upstairs, while JoJo could join Emma on the ballroom floor to highlight his dancing expertise. Although JoJo’s role interviewing the celebs and their pro-partners upstairs has grown on people more this week, Josh seems to still be finding his feet, according to viewers. For those who haven’t seen the leaked results, you’ll find out what happens tonight (Picture: Guy Levy/ BBC) In fact, the 43-year-old host has faced such an influx of criticism that many of his co-stars on the show have released statements seemingly coming to his defence, even if they haven’t named him directly. This has included the likes of judge Motsi Mabuse, co-host Emma and Strictly pro Lauren Oakley. In a post dedicated to all things Strictly, Love Is Blind host Emma wrote in the caption: ‘ ‘You will get judged either way, so may as well pick the fun option’. Meanwhile, Lauren said: ‘We couldn’t be in safer hands than with these beautiful people,’ amid a longer message.
