Social Security Administration adds 14 illnesses to compassionate allowances list

The Social Security Administration added 14 illnesses to its compassionate allowances list, which allows those with serious health conditions to fast-track their disability application process.The list now includes 314 conditions, primarily cancers, brain disorders, and rare childhood illnesses and disorders. Over 1.2 million people with the included conditions have been approved through the CAL.
