Mr Cowell now has until October 5 to serve his response to London’s High Court – paving the way for a blockbuster showdown between the warring pair. Mr Rosenblatt says they originally met for dinner in London in October 2022 to settle their differences after a series of rows. READ MORE ON SIMON COWELL In documents already submitted to the High Court he said Mr Cowell offered him an attractive fee arrangement for a deal he was working on at the time. The documents say: “The terms of that offer were written on a napkin which Mr Cowell then signed.” It offered up to 15 per cent of any deal worth more than £75million. The deal was later formalised at a meeting at Mr Cowell’s Cotswolds home in February 2023, it was claimed. Most read in Showbiz But Mr Rosenblatt claims he was never paid and is now seeking millions in damages. He says it was “very difficult to speak” to Mr Cowell as he refuses to own a mobile phone, often changed his email addresses and could only be contacted through his fiancée Lauren Silverman, mother of his son Eric. Mr Cowell could also be extremely emotional, leading to rows, and sometimes deliberately excluded Mr Rosenblatt from calls about budgets for his company Syco, court papers say.
