She said “I feel like it was these desks” before gesturing to another set and saying “I’m pretty sure it was these ones.” Continuing, she said: “As far as the intercourse goes, this is the desk that we leaned back on.” Most read in The Sun The disturbing relationship allegedly began when the pair began flirting over Snapchat, court documents reveal. The teen then started making secret trips to Mashburn-Smith’s classroom where they eventually kissed and sex on at least two occasions, according to the confession. In the footage, Mashburn-Smith admits that she would sometimes leave the side door ajar so the boy could sneak in after football practice. Other times, he’d simply knock and she’d let him in. She said: “It’s not like I let him in and we went right to it or anything. “We would hug and talk … like I said it was not premeditated sex.” She was arrested on April 29 with bodycam footage showing her placed in handcuffs and taken to the station. According to court documents, the teacher complained about her marriage and told the teen she would leave her husband once he turned 18. The boy then stopped speaking to his teacher and blocked her, but she continued to message him on Snapchat, the confession states. Mashburn-Smith admitted that she “made a mistake,” the court documents say. The educator was charged with unlawful sexual activity with minors, which carries a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison. She was suspended from her teaching job at Port Charlotte High School. Comment now
