Rather than accept they had missed their flight, they took matters into their own hands and stormed onto the tarmac. They were quickly escorted away and forced to reschedule after missing the departure. Footage of the extraordinary incident quickly went viral on social media, with users reacting with a mixture of shock and disbelief. One user wrote: “Do they think this is a bus?” Most read in The Sun Another said: “Hey ladies, rules are rules for a reason, despite how much money you have.” A third added: “The level of obliviousness.” Under Russian law, the women could reportedly face fines of up to £45 for their actions. The penalty can rise to as much as £260 for an international violation. This is not the first time a passenger has made a desperate last-minute attempt to stop a plane from leaving. In May, another Russian passenger reportedly missed boarding after getting stuck in the airport bathroom. Realising the plane was about to leave without him, he ran onto the tarmac in a bid to stop the aircraft. But his desperate attempt failed, and he was handed a £30 fine as the flight departed without him. Comment now
