Settlers and Israeli forces injure four Palestinians in West Bank attacks

Israeli settlers and forces attacked Palestinians across the occupied West Bank on Saturday, injuring at least four people and targeting farmers during the olive harvest, Palestinian news agency Wafa reported. Near Salfit, settlers severely beat Palestinian resident Taysir al-Qaoud north of his town, Kafr al-Dik. He was hospitalised in stable condition. Israeli settlers also injured two Palestinians harvesting olives in Wadi al-Shaer, east of Salfit city, and raided the nearby village of Yasuf. Southwest of Nablus, Israeli forces severely beat a 33-year-old man during a raid on the town of Sarra. Red Crescent crews treated him at the scene before taking him to hospital. In al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, settlers protected by Israeli forces attacked a Palestinian family picking olives, forced them off their land, and stole their harvest and tools. Near Ramallah, settlers stoned Palestinian vehicles between al-Mughayyir and Abu Falah, northeast of the city, damaging several cars. Israeli forces detained Mohammad Hazem Samhan, 35, while he was harvesting olives in Ras Karkar and seized farming tools in the al-Mughayyir Plain. They also set up new checkpoints at the entrances to the towns of Sinjil, Turmus Ayya, Deir Abu Mashal, Yabrud and Deir Dibwan.
