As part of a thanksgiving visit, he met voters and thanked them for their support. He said he would leverage his network of contacts with companies and individuals across the country to help eligible youths secure private-sector employment. However, Kishor clarified that he could not guarantee government jobs and said some young people may initially have to move outside Bihar for work.“I am not travelling anywhere. I am working for you,” Kishor said in response to criticism that he had been away from the constituency for five or six days after his election victory. He appealed to families with educated but unemployed children to prepare their CVs and submit them to his office. His target, he said, was to help at least 10,000 families in Bankipur secure employment for their children within the next one to two years.Kishor said the situation could change if the Jan Suraaj Party comes to power in Bihar. In that event, he said, the party would focus on creating enough employment opportunities within the state so that young people are not forced to leave Bihar in search of jobs. He also identified four key priorities for the constituency: employment, education, a monthly pension of Rs 1,100 and food grains. The announcement comes days after Kishor’s victory in the Bankipur by-election and is among his first major employment-focused initiatives in the constituency since the poll.- EndsPublished By: Priyanka KumariPublished On: Aug 11, 2026 18:26 IST
