Second 2028 righty commits to Arkansas softball

Arkansas softball got the second 2028 commitment of the evening of Wednesday from four-star right-handed pitcher Ava Lastovka. Lastovka, along with Texas righty Jessica Hinnant, got the recruiting cycle for the Hogs started with a bang. Like Hinnant, Lastovka hails from Texas and she competes on the travel scene with Fury Robinson. Lastovka is the nation’s No. 24 overall prospect, eighth right-handed pitcher and No. 1 in Texas. According to the rule 42 scouting report, Lastovka “can consistently throw in the upper 60s in games. She can generate swings and misses on her rise, move the ball efficiently east and west, and throw her changeup for a strike.
