Scarlet Witch Officially Battles Doctor Doom In Marvel Series Streaming For Free On YouTube

She was a regular guest on the Netfreaks podcast and was a YouTuber at some point. Guillermo del Toro said “hi” to her once. Scarlet Witch is still one of the most popular and beloved Marvel characters, more so after her appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As the world prepares for Doctor Doom’s debut in Avengers: Doomsday, Scarlet Witch already faced him in a Marvel series that’s currently streaming for free. Although Marvel is now mostly known beyond the comics for its massive connected universe of movies and TV shows, Marvel already had some interesting projects before the MCU became what it is now. Marvel had various TV shows before the MCU kicked off, with some arriving once this connected universe started. Unfortunately, this led to some of them being overshadowed by the movies, but that doesn’t make them any less great. Such is the case for The Super Hero Squad Show, an animated TV show based on the Marvel Super Hero Squad toy line, thus having a different design and tone than other well-known animated Marvel shows. The Super Hero Squad Show aired on Cartoon Network from 2009 to 2011 for just two seasons, and it was added to Disney+ in 2019. The Super Hero Squad Show features some of the most popular heroes and villains from the Marvel Universe, and one of its most notable stories, especially these days, is Scarlet Witch battling Doctor Doom. Luckily, those who aren’t subscribed to Disney+ and want to watch or revisit the show don’t need to join the platform to do so, as the show is streaming for free on YouTube. Wanda Changes Sides To Battle Doctor Doom In The Super Hero Squad Show The Super Hero Squad Show’s characters are portrayed in chibi form due to the design of the toys the show is inspired by, but the tone isn’t a childish one, with the show being a self-aware parody of the Marvel Universe while also bringing to life some exciting stories. Season 1 follows Doctor Doom, who, before the events of the show, tried to get the Infinity Sword but was stopped by Iron Man, destroying the sword into fragments known as Infinity Fractals. Doom later forms the Lethal Legion to gather the fractals, with Magneto arriving with his children, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, to help him steal them. Wanda starts her run in The Super Hero Squad Show as an ally to Doom, but it all takes a turn in season 2, where Thanos is looking to get the Infinity Stones and the Infinity Gauntlet. After the Silver Surfer leaves with Galactus, Scarlet Witch officially joins the Super Hero Squad. Scarlet Witch’s journey in The Super Hero Squad Show is similar to the one she had in the MCU, as she started off as an antagonist on the side of Ultron in Avengers: Age of Ultron alongside her brother and later joined the Avengers, though she continued to deal with her personal demons. After Vision’s death and the events of WandaVision, Scarlet Witch went full villain in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, with many hoping she would get a redemption arc at some point after that. Will Wanda Face Doctor Doom In The MCU’s Avengers: Doomsday? Unfortunately, Scarlet Witch’s time in the MCU had a less-than-ideal ending as she sacrificed herself during the destruction of the Darkhold Castle. Scarlet Witch has been confirmed to be dead, but with the MCU officially introducing the multiverse with many alternate timelines and variants, Wanda could still return somehow in future projects (either movies or TV shows). The next big crossover event in the MCU is Avengers: Doomsday, which already has many previously introduced characters confirmed to return – unfortunately, Scarlet Witch isn’t among them. However, she could still make a surprise appearance, or Doomsday could prepare her return in Avengers: Secret Wars. There’s also the possibility of an appearance or hint at her future comeback in the TV show VisionQuest, the closing chapter in the WandaVision trilogy. Until then, The Super Hero Squad Show gives a fun look at what Scarlet Witch facing Doctor Doom is like, and what makes it even better is that anyone can watch it for free on YouTube.
