Sayyid Badr discusses latest developments in phone calls with Uzbek, Russian counterparts

Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister received a phone call on Tuesday from Bakhtiyor Saidov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.The two ministers exchanged views on expanding bilateral cooperation and partnership, particularly in the economic, trade, and tourism fields, alongside advancing further investment projects, logistics, and transportation services, thereby contributing to transforming existing opportunities into projects that enrich both countries' interests and mutual benefits. The call addressed developments on the regional and international arenas, with both sides emphasising the importance of expanding areas of consensus, strengthening joint action, and supporting peaceful pathways to resolve disputes in accordance with the principles of international law.On another note, the Foreign Minister discussed a number of cooperation relations during a phone call with Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, and exchanged views in the context of current regional and international developments.
