But when one such machine appeared in a now-viral video, it took viewers a moment to realise that something was off, because the washroom it was installed in was meant for men.The video, which is now being widely circulated across social media platforms, showed a person filming a sanitary napkin vending machine mounted inside a washroom in Uttarakhand. At first, there was nothing particularly unusual about the sight. The machine appeared to be in a perfectly ordinary setting, and the clip gave little away about where it had been installed. The unexpected part came when the person filming walked out of the washroom and turned the camera to reveal that it was, in fact, the gents' washroom. What initially looked like a routine video of a sanitary napkin vending machine suddenly became an unexpected reveal, leaving viewers to take a second look at what they had just watched. The exact location of the washroom has not been confirmed, and it remains unclear where the video was filmed or why the vending machine was installed there. An X user who re-shared the clip captured the surprise in a brief caption: “Unexpected ending.” And, given that the video's biggest detail only became clear towards the end, the caption was fitting.Watch the video here:Unexpected ending https://t.co/4BwQeGoG6k— Abhishek (@be_mewadi) October 8, 2026The clip prompted a range of reactions, with some viewers questioning how the machine had ended up in the men's washroom, while others took a more practical view of the situation. One user questioned whether the installation was an example of government negligence, wondering if it pointed to a lapse in oversight.Another user, however, was simply taken aback by the reveal, calling it the last thing they would ever expect to see on the internet.Whether the machine was installed there intentionally or by mistake remains unclear. For now, it is the unexpected final reveal, rather than the vending machine itself, that has made the short clip a talking point online.- Ends
