(“Samsara”) (NYSE: IOT), the pioneer of the Connected Operations® Platform, today announced that the Samsara Tracking Label has been named to TIME’s Best Inventions of 2026 in the Logistics category. Introduced in June as part of Samsara Shipment Visibility, the disposable Bluetooth label gives businesses near-real-time visibility into shipments across carriers, extending the reach of the Samsara Network to high-value shipments, packages, and pallets. This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below.Cargo theft costs U.S. businesses as much as $35 billion annually, yet many shippers still rely on barcode scans for shipment visibility, with location updates sometimes days apart. For companies moving pharmaceuticals, electronics, and other high-value goods, a shipment can be stolen, delayed, or misrouted long before anyone knows to intervene. Those gaps also make it harder to catch everyday exceptions, such as a missed handoff or a shipment headed to the wrong address. The Tracking Label lets teams see what happens between scans so they can prevent delays, avoid misdeliveries, and respond to potential theft before problems escalate.Get the latest headlines, breaking news and columns.By signing up you consent to receive the above newsletter from Postmedia Network Inc.A welcome email is on its way. The Tracking Label makes that visibility simple to access, and the AI-powered Shipment Center helps teams decide which shipments need their attention. That means more time to solve a problem before it reaches the customer.”Powering the paper-thin label is the Samsara Network: millions of connected vehicles and devices traveling across 99% of major U.S. roads. Those devices detect the label’s Bluetooth signal and report its location without requiring carrier participation. Using infrastructure already in place makes it possible to deliver that visibility through a low-cost, single-use label.Shipping teams activate labels with a single tap in the Samsara Shipment App and manage their shipments in the AI-powered Shipment Center. Rather than manually monitoring every shipment, teams can focus on those automatically flagged for attention and respond to weather-related delays, diversions and other disruptions. Each label has a 45-day battery life and contains no lithium or hazardous materials, allowing it to travel by air, ground, or rail and be disposed of without special handling. For DCL Logistics, an early adopter that manages fulfillment and carrier handoffs for high-value cargo, that visibility addresses a longstanding limitation in freight shipping.“I think it’s revolutionary for the industry,” said Dave Tu, president of DCL Logistics. “The transportation industry is hungry for more data and in more real time. This is something that the world has been asking for and needing and this is the perfect time for Samsara Tracking Label.”This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below.Samsara recently surpassed $2.1 billion in annual recurring revenue, up 30% year over year.
