Salman Khan proudly flaunts his colourful rakhis outside sister Alvira's house

Salman Khan had plenty of reasons to smile this Raksha Bandhan, but his wrist full of colourful rakhis perhaps said it all. The actor joined his sisters and extended family at sister Alvira Khan Agnihotri’s Mumbai home to celebrate the festival, later giving the paparazzi a glimpse of the colourful rakhis tied around his wrist.Dressed casually in a maroon T-shirt, flared blue denims and a cowboy-style hat, Salman kept the mood relaxed as he greeted photographers before heading home. Videos from outside Alvira’s residence showed Salman proudly displaying the multiple rakhis tied by his sisters.The actor was also seen sporting a tilak on his forehead as he stepped out after the family gathering. When the paparazzi asked him to show his rakhis, Salman obliged, briefly raising his wrist for the cameras before getting into his car.Watch the video here: In another video, Salman was seen sharing a warm hug with veteran actor Helen as she arrived at Alvira’s home for the celebrations. Sohail Khan’s son, Nirvaan Khan, was also spotted at the residence.The Khan family has traditionally gathered at Alvira’s home to celebrate Raksha Bandhan, with the occasion bringing together siblings and members of their extended family. Alvira, daughter of veteran screenwriter Salim Khan and Salma Khan, is married to actor-producer Atul Agnihotri. She is a fashion designer and film producer and has been associated with several Bollywood projects. He is set to star in Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace, the Apoorva Lakhia-directed war drama previously titled Battle of Galwan. The film, which also stars Chitrangda Singh, is inspired by the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops.The film has been through a series of changes, including its title and release plans. A new poster released in July indicated that Maatrubhumi remains a 2026 release, although the makers are yet to announce a new theatrical date. Earlier reports had suggested a possible delay, while the makers clarified that the film had not yet been submitted for certification when speculation around a CBFC hurdle surfaced.Salman is also set to headline filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally’s next film, tentatively titled SVC 63, alongside Nayanthara.
