All the popular power tool brands make a ton of excellent tools, but when it comes to accessories and other gear, Ryobi is at the top. The company has a loyal following of DIYers and offers over 350 products that all work with its 18V ONE+ battery system. Ryobi makes a bunch of weird tools, and the company recently announced a brand-new combo they're calling a "Storm Preparation Kit" that you'll surely love. With heavy rains, thunderstorms, hurricanes, and winter snowfall on the way, now is the perfect time to think about your emergency preparedness. When the power goes out, you'll want gear like portable power stations, power banks to charge your phones, and a way to see in the dark. If you're a fan of Ryobi and already own several lime green products, you'll want to get the new Ryobi 18V Storm Preparation Kit. Here's what you need to know. Ryobi's new Storm Preparation Combo Kit For a power outage, camping, tailgating, and more Think about some of those essentials you'd want when the power goes out? Sure, many of us already own flashlights and such, but then you might need to find some AA batteries, look through drawers, and wrangle it all together. If you live somewhere with frequent inclement weather, you'll want to have everything ready to go at all times. And that's where Ryobi's new combo kit will come to save the day. More importantly, and what makes it so great, is that it's another way to get the most out of those 18V ONE+ battery packs you already own. The new Ryobi Storm Preparation Kit is currently listed as "coming soon," and it should be far more affordable than a similar package the brand offered a few years ago for $300. It's nothing mind-blowingly awesome, but it is three essential items you'll surely use during a power outage, while camping, or any sort of outdoor adventure. This new kit comes with a compact 18V LED Area Lantern, a 4-inch Clamp Fan, and an 18V Power Source that turns the included 2Ah battery pack into a power bank, complete with two USB ports for charging phones, tablets, lights, and more. There's also a compact battery charger in the kit, making it a small, easy-to-store 5-piece combo. Ryobi's little 18V area light delivers 400 lumens of brightness and should last for around 40 hours, and even longer if you clip in a bigger 4Ah battery. The Clamp fan is a fan favorite around these parts and delivers 180 CFM of airflow for 13+ hours. Then, as mentioned above, the power source runs on any 18V ONE+ battery you already own, and lets you plug in two USB devices and charge them simultaneously. Again, these tools are nothing special, but it's a great little kit that you'll absolutely want to have on hand. It gives you the peace of mind knowing you'll have some light, airflow, and the ability to charge your phones and keep in contact with family and loved ones. I don't know about you, but for me, that's priceless. Charge up a few battery packs, grab this storm kit, and you'll have lights for your campsite and tent, a portable fan during warm summer months, and a way to charge your phone or power string lights for camp vibes around the firepit. Ryobi already makes a slew of camping accessories and products, and you can add these to the list. I could see myself taking the light, fan, and power source to my family cabin in Zion, Utah, fishing trips by the river when I'm roughing it in a tent, or other outdoor activities. Ryobi also mentions tailgating, but the same logic applies to using the fan at sporting events or soccer games with the kids. Be better prepared In total, the new Ryobi Storm Preparation Kit for 2026 comes with an LED light, a 4-inch clamp fan, a power source adapter, one 2Ah battery, and a charger. And yes, it's all backed by the usual 3-year manufacturer warranty. Unfortunately, Ryobi still hasn't announced a release date or pricing, but considering it's been listed as coming soon since early October, there's a good chance it'll hit your local Home Depot in the coming weeks. Once it does, head down and grab one before it sells out, because if it's anything like the previous package, they'll go fast.
